The most popular silver bullion in the world is the Silver Eagle. The mintage numbers of the Silver Eagle have fluctuated between 4 million and 47 million since its first release, with 1996 having the most limited mintage and 2015 having the largest mintage. Due to their very low mintage numbers relative to today's norms, you can see high premiums on the Silver Eagles from 1994 to 1998. Due to it being the first launch, the 1986 version also has a high premium. A total of nearly 20 million eagles have been minted per year in recent years, which is equivalent to the Silver Maple Leaf, which many people say is a near second to the Silver Eagle when it comes to prominence.
