The design for these United States Mint coins, the silver Peace Dollar, were minted from 1921 to 1928, and again in 1934 and 1935. The coins' artwork is intended to commemorate the peace that followed World War I. The obverse features Lady Liberty and the reverse displays a perched eagle with an olive branch and the word "Peace".
