America's Politiains & Oligarchs Are Actively Provoking A Civil-War, in America

What Is Critical Race Theory and Why Are People So Upset About It?

USNews: The term critical race theory began gaining traction in the mainstream two years ago – or notoriety depending on people's outlook – after The New York Times published the 1619 Project, a compilation of essays, commentaries and poems that brought the idea of critical race theory out of academia for the first time by asking readers to center the consequences of slavery and the contributions of Black Americans in the country's national narrative.

Many Americans, especially white people, believe racism is the product of intentionally bad and biased individuals, but critical race theory purports that racism is systemic and is inherent in much of the American way of life, no matter how far removed we are today from its origins.

Political conservatives in particular found the darker portrayal of America's origins and its shortcomings galling, saying that it undercut patriotism and had a divisive effect. Former President Donald Trump found it especially insulting.

"Critical race theory, the 1619 Project and the crusade against American history is toxic propaganda, ideological poison, that, if not removed, will dissolve the civic bonds that tie us together, will destroy our country," he said about it at the time.

Months following the 1619 Project's publication, Trump convened the "1776 Commission" to counter the narrative and develop a "patriotic" curriculum that schools can use to teach U.S. history. The commission published a 41-page report two days before the end of the Trump administration, which concluded, among other things, that progressivism is at odds with American values and recommended that schools teach positive stories about the country's founders.

President Joe Biden disassembled the 1776 Commision on his first day in office and repealed the executive order that pushed schools to adopt the former president's so-called patriotic curriculum, which had unlikely legs anyway, given that under federal law the government is prohibited from setting curriculum or persuading states and local school districts to adopt certain curricula.

America might finally be waking up to ‘wokeness’

NYPost: The idea of wokeness began with noble intentions — to raise public consciousness about the enduring impact of racism, sexism and inequality. But, emboldened by the rise of the #MeToo and BLM movements, it quickly evolved into a severe form of political correctness, forced upon the public, with little tolerance for argument or debate.

The “woke” insisted that people of color be called “BIPOC,” artistic license be deemed “cultural appropriation,” and Latinos be referred to as the gender-neutral “LatinX”. Gender itself was declared to be as elastic and expansive as possible, along with an endless array of pronouns to express every sexual identity.

Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover was motivated by his view that “language policing” has gone too far and it was time for a reset. “I am against censorship that goes far beyond the law,” Musk tweeted in late April. “The extreme antibody reaction from those who fear free speech says it all,” he added in another post.

What is cancel culture? Everything to know about the toxic online trend

NYPost: Cancel culture — the phenomenon of promoting the “canceling” of people, brands and even shows and movies due to what some consider to be offensive or problematic remarks or ideologies — isn’t all that new.

Children under 7 will now be forbidden from watching “Dumbo,” “Peter Pan” “Swiss Family Robinson” and the “The Aristocats.” Settings on the app will prevent the movies from even showing up on the young viewers’ profiles. Disney explained its rationale behind each film’s removal on the kid-focused Stories Matter section of their website.

They cited “Dumbo’s” (1941) infamous singing crows, which “pay homage to racist minstrel shows, where white performers with blackened faces and tattered clothing imitated and ridiculed enslaved Africans on Southern plantations.”

The once irreproachable children’s book author has been the subject of racial reckoning. On March 2 — what would have been the late author and illustrator’s 117th birthday — the company that oversees Seuss’ publications announced that they were pulling licensing rights to six titles, due to racially insensitive depictions of Asian and Black characters.

These books — which include “And To Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street” and “Scrambled Eggs Super!” -— “portray people in ways that are hurtful and wrong,” Dr. Seuss Enterprises said in a statement to the Associated Press.

Cancel culture, though, isn’t exclusive to celebrities. Companies and brands are under fire for racist imagery.

After facing backlash for perpetuating racist stereotypes, the 130-year-old Aunt Jemima breakfast brand is getting a makeover. Similarly, Uncle Ben’s and Mrs. Butterworth’s brands might be next.

Sports teams began to jump on board, too. After years of criticism, the Washington Redskins are finally brainstorming a new team name, inspiring the Cleveland Indians to consider doing the same.

As Americans realize the racist history of the US, many holidays, monuments and traditions have come under fire and subsequently been “canceled.” Columbus Day — to commemorate the arrival of Christopher Columbus in America— is not exempt. Now in many states, the day is instead “Indigenous Peoples Day,” to remember the genocide of native people on the land settlers colonized. But not everyone is thrilled about the change. Those who are adamant about tradition and keeping even the ugly parts of our history see the cancellation of Columbus as a complete erasure of our country’s foundations.

Trump reshares post on Truth Social that appears to suggest or predict a civil war in America

BusinessInsider: Former President Donald Trump this weekend reshared a comment on Truth Social that appeared to predict or suggest a civil war in America in response to inflation.

Trump reposted a suggestion from a Truth Social user called "MAGA King Thanos," who commented on a screenshot of a tweet from El Salvador's president, Nayib Bukele.

In the tweet, Bukele wrote: "The most powerful country in the world is falling so fast, that it makes you rethink what are the real reasons. Something so big and powerful can't be destroyed so quickly, unless the enemy comes from within.

Bukele's remarks came in response to a Bloomberg tweet on coping with inflation in the US if one earns under $300,000 a year.

Trump's comment was also swiftly rebuked by Rep. Adam Kinzinger, one of Trump's staunchest critics in the GOP.

"Any of my fellow Republicans wanna speak out now?" Kinzinger tweeted. "Or are we just wanting to get through 'just one more election first...?"

Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell also weighed in on Trump's post, tweeting: "Donald Trump is calling for Civil War. Of course, like Vietnam and the walk to the Insurrection, he won't be man enough to fight it."

Supreme Court reports significant threats of violence after Roe v Wade draft leak

MSN: According to a May 13 intelligence bulletin from the Department of Homeland Security cited by CBS News, ABC News and Axios, there is now an increased “threat to government, religious, and reproductive healthcare personnel and facilities and ideological opponents,” in response to the leak.

Chief Supreme Court Justice John Roberts directed the Marshal of the Court to launch an investigation into the source of the leak, which was published May 2 in POLITICO. So far, the source remains unclear.

Per the DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis bulletin – titled “Potential for Threats to Public Safety in Response to Abortion Debate” – social media threats referenced “burning down or storming the U.S. Supreme Court and murdering justices and their clerks,” as well as members of Congress and lawful demonstrators.

“If you’re pro-life but aren't prepared to follow in their footsteps you’re wasting your time,” one user also wrote, according to the memo.

“The DHS said federal law enforcement agencies have opened investigations into several of the online threats,” said CBS News.

According to ABC News, the DHS bulletin said that “the volume of violent threats targeting Supreme Court Justices, members of Congress, other public officials, clergy, healthcare officials and providers, and others associated with the abortion debate are likely to persist and may increase leading up to and following the issuing of the Court’s official ruling.”

Homeland Security Predicts Weeks Of Violence In Wake Of Ruling Overturning Roe

HuffPost: The Department of Homeland Security predicts weeks of violence in response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision overturning Roe v. Wade, according to an advisory released Friday warning law enforcement of expected trouble.

Federal and state government officials, including judges, “probably are most at risk for violence in response to the decision,” noted the warning from the DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis, which was obtained by several media outlets.

The warning was issued as protests erupted across the nation over the Supreme Court’s decision Friday morning to overturn half a century of abortion rights. In an ominous incident Friday night, a truck driver in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, rammed into demonstrators protesting the court’s ruling, and one demonstrator was hospitalized.

Studies of the last major Black Lives Matter rallies for racial justice in 2020 were found to be 97.7% peaceful, The Washington Post reported, while law enforcement and DHS officials mostly ignored multiple warnings of violence before the assault on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Man shot dead after allegedly trying to breach FBI office appears to have written furious Truth Social posts calling for violence after Mar-a-Lago raid

BusinessInsider: The suspect who tried to force entry to an FBI field office was identified by media outlets not long after he was killed by police.

The man, named by the Associated Press and NBC News as 42-year-old Ricky Shiffer, appears to have been a prolific user of former President Donald Trump's Truth Social network, where he posted angry messages about the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago.

Trump supporters are explicitly calling for a civil war, as Insider's Camila DeChalus reported. Shiffer's posts also referred to war.

FBI Facing ‘Unprecedented’ MAGA Threats: ‘Time to Hunt Fed Bois’

MSN: Trump supporters are calling for a civil war after the FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago. Experts say that political violence will heighten in the US ahead of the midterm elections. Republican lawmakers have also entertained that idea of states seceding from US.

After the FBI executed a search warrant on former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence, threats against federal agents have spiked online — and among some Republican politicians.

On social media platforms such as Gab, Telegram, and Facebook, researchers saw a significant uptick in references to violence and references to "civil war" increased by 106% after the Mar-a-Lago raid, Insider's Laura Italiano reported.

"In these right-wing and extremist spaces, they interpret the Mar-a-Lago search not as a legitimate legal process but as the first shots of a war by the federal government," Alex Friedfeld, a researcher with the Anti-Defamation League's Center on Extremism, told Insider. "So consequently, you're seeing calls for people to arm up, to lock and load, and to be ready to use real bullets to defend themselves."

Mark Zuckerberg tells Joe Rogan FBI warned Facebook of 'Russian propaganda' before Hunter Biden laptop story

FOXNews: Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed that the FBI approached Facebook warning the platform about "Russian propaganda" ahead of the bombshell Hunter Biden laptop story leading up to the 2020 presidential election.

Appearing on Thursday's installment of "The Joe Rogan Experience," Zuckerberg was asked about Facebook's suppression of the New York Post's reporting that shed light on the shady foreign business dealings of the son of then-candidate Joe Biden.

Zuckerberg began by stressing how Facebook took a "different path" than Twitter, which completely censored the Post's reporting while Facebook limited its reach on the platform.

Meta, Facebook's parent company, issued a statement saying "None of this is new. Mark testified before the Senate nearly two years ago that in the lead up to the 2020 election, the FBI warned about the threat of foreign hack and leak operations… We took that seriously, and as Mark said when he testified, we didn't block the New York Post story, we temporarily reduced its distribution to give fact-checking partners time to review it."

Both Zuckerberg and then-Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey expressed regret for their actions limiting the distribution of the New York Post's reporting and several news organizations including The New York Times, The Washington Post, NBC News and Politico have since verified the authenticity of the laptop.

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wisc., revealed this week in a letter to Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz that whistleblowers allege FBI officials told agents not to investigate Hunter Biden's laptop for months over concerns it would impact the 2020 election.

Biden speech denouncing Trump, 'MAGA ideology' sparks threats, calls for violence

Yahoo: President Biden’s fiery speech in Philadelphia denouncing former President Donald Trump and what he described as “extreme MAGA ideology” has sparked online calls for violence, including death threats against the president.

During Biden's speech, four current U.S. domestic counterterrorism officials told Yahoo News they were concerned the president’s words would further divide the nation and lead to increased threats against government and law enforcement officials.

Biden’s remarks also prompted immediate concerns from senior counterterrorism officials who said they fear that calling Trump supporters extremists would be viewed as a call to arms and would only inflame an already volatile threat environment.

“I fear he is lighting a fuse that is not going to go well,” one senior Biden counterterrorism official said. “Sadly this is not a united speech but a very divisive one.”

FOXNews: GOP Sen. John Kennedy suggested that Biden should have focused on other issues during his primetime speech, adding that it was a "missed opportunity."

"He could have talked about crime, inflation, learning loss by our children, the mountains of fentanyl coming across the border, killing our teenagers," Kennedy said during the interview.

"Instead, he chose to say to the American people, 'If you don't agree with me about higher taxes, more government, if you don't agree with me that moms are birthing people, if you don't agree with me that government has a constitutional right to talk to your five-year-old about sexuality, you're a bad person, and you're not even an American.'"

Do yourself a favor. Think for yourself. Be your own person. Question everything. Stand for principle. Champion individual liberty and self-ownership where you can. Develop a strong moral code. Be kind to others. Do no harm, unless that harm is warranted. Pretty obvious stuff...but people who hold these things in their hearts seem to be disappearing from the earth at an accelerated rate. Stay safe, my friends. Thanks for being here.
